12. How to replace the glass in my door? (This is only referencing to Nicks Doors) Put on gloves and safety glasses in case glass breaks
Use a utility knife to cut caulk on outside of door so glass is loose from door.
Repeat on the inside
On inside you may need to score the clear coat where the glass sticking and door meet so it will separate cleanly
Use a scrapper or a mini bar to slowly work the glass sticking away from the glass. Do so along the entire edge making sure to only pry little at a time. If you pry too far in one place you risk breaking the glass sticking. Door glass is tempered so it is strong and will generally not break if you pry against it.
After you pried all the way around and removed the sticking, you score the silicone and remove the nails left behind that were holding in the sticking and remove glass by pushing from the outside it.
Scrape away all old silicone to prepare glass opening for new glass.
Apply new silicone, and set glass inside. You may need to put spacers on the bottom of the glass so that gravity doesnt allow the glass to sag over time. Spacers can be wood pieces, rubber, or cork.
Fill in space from glass to door with silicone.
Place sticking back on and nail into place.
Silicone where glass meets wood on the outside of the door.
